Xelector Plc is a leading provider of
on- and off-line marketplaces in the insurance, credit and utilities
sectors. We are currently looking for an applicant who will be
responsible for the maintenance and development of Xelector's
insurance marketplaces. The chosen applicant will be based in
our London Office.
The Position:
This is an ideal opportunity to work for a broker
who has both online and offline distribution channels. You will
be responsible for the development and enhancement of the existing
suite of insurance products. While maintaining existing client
and insurer relationships you will also develop new distribution
channels and, working closely with the development team, develop
new insurance products. You will ensure that customer services
standards are maintained and enhanced. You will oversee the Insurance
aspect of the business, ensuring that Xelector remains compliant
with FSA and related regulations.
Responsibilities:
Developing and enhancing existing insurance products (household,
travel and motor)
Maintaining existing client and insurer relationships
Developing new distribution channels
Developing new insurance products working closely with the
software development team
Reconciliation with insurers and clients
Ensuring Xelector remains compliant with FSA regulations
at all times
Testing Xelector insurance rating engine prior to new insurance
rates being released to clients
Managing customer service for insurance customers
The Person:
You will hold a business or insurance related
degree and have at least 3 years experience in the insurance industry.
With a working knowledge of FSA insurance and other relevant regulations
(e.g. Data Protection and Distance Marketing Directive) you will
ensure that Xelector's Insurance business is compliant at all
times. Working with best-of-breed online rating systems you will
be computer literate and ideally have worked in an online environment.
You will have had sales experience and a portfolio of industry
contacts. You will have experience of insurance rating systems
and how premiums are calculated.
Qualifications:
Business or Insurance related degree
A minimum of 3 years experience in the insurance industry
Working knowledge of FSA insurance regulations and other relevant
regulations (e.g. Data Protection and Distance Marketing Directive)
Experience of business on the internet, ideally having worked
for an internet based company
Experience of insurance rates and how premiums are calculated
Sales experience would be an advantage as would extensive
contacts in the insurance industry
