Fortress
Underwriting are specialists in providing household insurance
cover. Fortress offer policies direct to a network of over 500
brokers plus directly to retail customers. Fortress required a
system to offer their retail customers an online quotation and
fulfilment service for obtaining buildings and contents insurance.
Xelector were able to fulfil this requirement
and also extend this system to allow Fortress's network of brokers
to place customers on cover using an online system rather than
a traditional paper based system.
This system has significantly reduced the admin
overhead at Fortress freeing up resources to concentrate on other
aspects of the business.
Case Study - PSI Live
PSI Live is a leading conveyancing business in
the South West of the UK which handles 40,000 property sales per
year. Domestic Energy being a natural fit for its business, PSI
recognised an important cross-selling opportunity for its call
centre operations.
PSI was keen to offer a true value-added service,
by allowing customers the choice of a comparison service. Xelector
built a solution, which specially caters to the flow of a conversation
in the context of a conveyancing business, while handling all
supplier negotiations in order to build a specific supplier panel
for PSI.
The Xelector solution has been built to intergate
with PSI's conveyancing customer interface alongside a range of
other cross-selling opportunities, and is capable of storing and
retrieving PSI-specific customer IDs, which enable PSI to trace
the origin of its customers for reconcilliation purposes.
Case Study - Scottish Life Mortgages
Scottish Life Mortgages identified a critical
need for their IFA associates to maximise profit opportunities
by cross-selling products other than mortgages. Within a matter
of weeks, Xelector developed a tailored solution to allow IFA's
to log into the Scottish Life Mortgages website and generate quotations
for Credit Cards, Loans and Home Insurance in a simple two-step
process.
Depending on the product chosen, an 'express quote'
page asks for a maximum of 4 information items to generate an
indicative quote. To continue, the IFA can either complete another
search or simply proceed to buy / apply on-line. The system caters
for the advanced needs of IFAs with a host of unique tools and
online help, including a facility designed to weigh up customers'
detailed product preferences ('conjoint analysis'), when APR is
not the only decision-making factor.
Applications are submitted on-line and processed
and delivered to the product providers by Xelector. IFAs earn
commission for each policy or successful application.
